Starting at the campsite, there are various safe bicycle routes. For example, a route across the natural park of 'Aiguamolls de l'Emporda', or you can also go to Roses. Empuriabrava, the village beside us, is an ideal place, flat, with nice views to the channels, most streets are residential, with vehicles driving slowly. In the reception we will inform you about all the routes.
Bicycle rental: During July and August there is a hut near reception where you can rent a bicycle. The service is given by the same team that has the sailing school on the beach. You can contact them here. During the rest of the year there are also various places in the center of Empuriabrava, at about 500 meters from us.
Just beside the camping, exiting by the door near Restaurant Amberes, there is a big terrain of football. Any client can use it at any time from 10 am to 9 pm, and the animation team organizes competitions. The key to the door has to be asked in the reception.
In the beach in front of the camping, there is a sailing school for windsurfing and catamaran. Camping clients get a 10% discount on all prices. They periodically organise courses and it is also possible to rent. They have some german web pages. Our beach, in the gulf of Roses, is very much appreciated for sailors, with a regular thermic wind that peaks at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
WARNING: Flysurf is now allowed in our beach, but only starting from the signalized area. Please ask in the reception.
There are horses ready for riding in the Hipica Pot, in Empuriabrava, Sector Puigmal 101. It is a rather big establishment, and they also organise shows during some evenings. Tel. 972 450545, 656401096. In 2004, one hour horse riding costs 12 Euros.
In Empuriabrava's airport, at about 1,5 Km from us, the is the biggest parachuting center of Europa. They organize tandem jumps and courses. Please look in their wonderful website. The pictures here below have been kindly provided by them.
Empuriabrava has sandy beaches but very nearby there are rocky parts of coast, with nice small beaches. For example, direction Roses, there are: Punta Falconera, Cabo Norfeu. In the other side of the Gulf of Roses there are the well known Isles Medes, a natural sub-aquatic park. One of the best-known diving centers in Empuriabrava is Centro de Buceo Lopez-Bender Sub.
In Roses, at 5 Kms, there is the RosesSub diving center, with great quality services.
There are 11 tennis courts at about 1 Km from us, in Empuriabrava, near the airport. In 2004, 1 hour costs 10 Euros but you can also buy 10 hours for 80 Euros. It is a big club, they teach and organize championships every week. They speak all languages, you can phone them at 972 454367, or look their web pages, although only in Spanish.
The nearest golf terrain is the 'Pitch & Putt Golf', at 4 Km near us, in Castelló d'Empúries, in the area called 'Castelló Nou'. They have accessible prices, like 16 € for 18 holes, and 3 € for the rental of bag + 5 irons (prices 2004). Also, near the entrance there is a free practice field. The place is very well designed and worth a visit. Since it is new, by now they only have a catalan web page.

There are also big golf terrains in Perelada and in Navata, at aprox. 13 and 27 Km from us. In Perelada there also a 'wine spa', in case you don't have enough getting drunk.
Fitness lessons in the camping, on the swimming pool, every working day during the high season.
Empuriabrava is a wonderful jogging place, with lots of residential streets with almost no traffic.
