Fair of the Boat of Occasion 15 - 23 March
Place: Empuriabrava
The Fair of the Boat of Occasion is the most important of the sector, all over the country. In the zone of the Yacht Club there is an exhibit of about 500 vessels of every type of length, depth and characteristics: pneumatic, motorboats, fishingboats, big yachts, sailboats, aquatic motorbikes...
It is the ideal place to choose and to be advised in the purchase of a vessel.
Festivity of Carmen 16 July
Place: Empuriabrava
Like all the villages of the coast of Catalonia, the marine of Empuriabrava celebrates around July 16 the festivities of Carmen, in order to worship the mother of God of Carmen. The procession by the channels, the popular sardinade and the big fireworks spectacle are the most emblematic acts of this festivity which has already turned into a tradition in the municipality.
Course of karate and kobudo, imparted by the teacher Federico Mejias, 6º Dan. The course is especially directed at black belts of karate, in order to help them in their perfection. There is also a beginner's group. Participation costs 110 € per person and discipline, or 140 € for the two disciplines of kàrate and kobudo. Here there is the complete description.

Thuna fishing contest 23 - 24 August
Place: Empuriabrava
Fishing contest, classificatory for the World Championship, organized by the Costa Brava Fishing Club. The boats come out of the main harbour of Empuriabrava every morning early, they sail some 90 Km and come back around 18:00-19:00, bringing the captured thuna, in order to weigh them.

Festival 'Land of Troubadours' 12 - 14 September
Place: Castelló d'Empúries
The festival 'Land of Troubadours' every year transforms the village of Castelló D'empúries into a mediaeval town, in the glorious period in which Castelló d'Empúries was the capital of the county of Empúries.
The visitor walks around the streets decorated according to the mediaeval period, filled with craft products, while in an open stage with continous performances of musical groups and, in general, groups of actors.
